The Collective

About

Established in 2015, the New Perspectives Series is a postgraduate collective focused on challenging epistemologies and bringing forth new trajectories in politics and international relations.  Our collective aims at promoting critical and cutting-edge research among doctoral and early-career researchers.  We are not defined by any particular field; rather, we seek to embody the ethic of interdisciplinarity in an effort to challenge knowledges and unlock new perspectives in any field/issue/area.  Our goal is to establish a rich network of like-minded researchers with the hope of forming the next generation of critical voices in politics and international relations.

Action

Our initial goal is to establish a vibrant community of doctoral researchers who share our vision.  As such, our activities currently centre around hosting our first conference The Politics of Representation, which will take place on June 8th, 2016.

Following this conference we will publish an online newsletter consisting of submissions from previous contributors as well as from emerging voices in our expanding network.  Future conferences and workshops will be held late-2016 to early-2017.

Aim

Our future aim is to establish an accessible network for young, critical voices in politics and international relations.  Our goal is to provide doctoral researchers with a vibrant network to disseminate research, share/learn new perspectives, and establish productive relationships that will form the next generation of critical academics.
